Update

I took Kinnedi to the Surgeon today at Shriner's Hospital. The Doctor said everything is looking good. She will be able to take the Cast off in about 3 weeks. Kinnedi is doing a lot better, acting more like herself and not letting the cast get in her way. The picture is an X-ray of her arm where the pins are, and the white thing around her arm is the cast. And thanks for everyones calls, thoughts and prayers we really appreciate it.

Escape number two

On Tuesday night, Kinnedi tried to escape the crib again. This time it didn't go so well. I had just put her down to sleep and went into the other room and I hear a thump and a scream. I knew it wasn't good. I felt her arm when I picked her up and It felt kind of funny. I didn't want to be a paranoid mom, I wasn't sure if I should take her in. So I call my Neighbor who is a nurse to come look at it. He was so nice to come over, but by the time he came I already knew we were gong to the hospital. Her arm had swollen a ton. So we went to Jordan Valley. They took some x-rays and after some waiting told us we need to go up to Primary Children's Hospital. So we drove up there and waited a few more hours until we found out that she would be having surgery on her arm as soon as a room was ready. She had broken her Humurus bone. She had surgery around 3 in the morning and they put three pins in her arm to help hold the bone together. She was such a good girl considering all that she was going through. She now sports a pink and purple cast which will be on for around 4 weeks. It was such a sad night seeing my baby girl go through so much. I did lots of crying and we did lots of waiting. We didn't get home until around 1 on Wednesday after noon. It was a long night. Kinnedi and her new purple and pink cast.

Kinnedi watching a little t.v.

Her cast is so big, she can't wear any of her clothes. The shirt is is wearing is 4t because the arm holes are bigger,so we could slide it over her huge cast. So sad.
Kinnedi has a hard time walking or at least keeping her balance. The cast weighs a lot for her tiny arm. She is very independent and wants to do everything her self, since she could before. Now she just gets frustrated because she can't hold her sippy very well or play as easy. Its just sad watching her.
Two sad Gimps!

The Escape

This morning I was down stairs getting some things to make Dinner for later. I came up stairs to find Kinnedi at the top of the stairs ready for some Milk. I assumed Trent had gotten her out of her crib. But Trent was asleep in our room. He must be fake sleeping, there was no way she got out by her self. Oh no was I wrong. We ate Breakfast and then Trent decided to hide in her closet and watch Kindi to see what her plan of escape was. He waited for a little while to see what she would do. Finally, she put her little leg on to one side of the crib to hold her self up and then push her self over the bars of the crib. Then she just plopped down and hit the floor. She did it! She escaped the Crib. Then Trent had to get out his tools and lowered the crib even more so hopefully she won't try this again.

Happy St Patricks Day

We had a fun St. Patricks day yesterday. Those crazy little Leprechauns tricked us all day. First we woke up to Green milk, then they messed up our house. They left us some green candy which was nice of them. For dinner they turned our Omelets green when we weren't looking. Kinnedi didn't seem to mind though, she isn't old enough to really care what color her food is. Trent had a harder time with it then she did.

Clean up

Kinnedi is such a good little helper. She helped me sweep the kitchen and Vacuum the family room. Kinnedi got her own little broom for Christmas, and she helps me sweep all the time.

Stitches

Beware, This is really gross. Trent wanted to show off his awesome stitches. He had four cuts this time. You can only see three of the cuts the other cut is up higher where they took the tendon graft. Pretty gross if you ask me, but Trent thinks Scares are sexy.
