We had a Ward Pinewood Derby, more like a Dad Derby. I think the men were super excited, they were just like little kids excited to show off there car or car's. They had two different races, a legal race and a no-legal race. Of course we had to enter both.
"Pretty in Pink Camaro" Kinnedi didn't do anything but choose the color.

This is what Kinnedi did most of the time, well until her car raced then she was excited.
Her car won a few races but over all wasn't the fastest but it won Best design.
In the Non-Legal race the Blue Dart blew away the competition with a ducted fan driven by a brushless motor, 12 volt lithium ion battery and RC airplane controls. Trent was really excited. Our neighbor had a speed gun and clocked it at 42 MPH. There was another ducted fan powered car, but the Blue Dart left it in the dust.
